Investing in Families and Neighborhoods

Jeremy Roberts is an experienced community leader, who, over the course of his career, has operated and advocated for local neighborhoods and small businesses. Born and raised in District 1, just north of downtown, Jeremy has always understood the importance of caring for your neighbors and building up the community.

Jeremy believes the rich diversity and heritage of San Antonio contribute to its strength and resiliency. This was evident from a young age, as he was raised by a Jewish father, who worked as a physician and led a non-profit to fight diabetes, and a Chinese-Thai mother, who managed and ran a family business, which was the first dialysis clinic on San Antonio’s South Side.

As a young boy, while his parents were hard at work, Jeremy took on many household responsibilities like lookink after his siblings to assist his working parents. They instilled in him the spirit of service, hard work, and entrepreneurship. Most importantly they were his model for giving back to the community. Inspired by his mother, Jeremy started his first business at the age of 19.

Recognizing the transformative power of education, Jeremy went on to earn his Bachelors and Masters degrees in business administration. His education prepared him for a career as a corporate marketing executive and entrepreneur. Over his 20+ years of professional experience with various companies, he has managed a $15 million annual marketing budget for Rackspace, developed end-to-end marketing strategies for IBM, and served countless Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies as a Senior Strategic Value Advisor at Adobe. In addition to this, he serves as the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Prosperas–a startup firm dedicated to financial inclusion and shrinking the global wealth gap by providing access to credit. Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate in Business administration from the University of the Incarnate Word and giving back to his community as an educator at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
